YANGON-BAGO-KYAIKHTIYO-MAWLAMYING-HPA.AN-YANGON-BAGAN–SAGAING-AMARAPURA-MINGUN-MANDALAY-PYINOOLWIN-MANDALAY-KALAW-PINDAYA-INLE–HEHO-YANGON

Day 1 Yangon/arrival

In the morning arrive at Yangon International Airport. Meet with your guide and transfer to hotel for check-in. Then in the afternoon visit Yangon sightseeing including Chaukhtatkyi Pagoda, downtown area, Kandawgyi park and the most famous Shwedagon Pagoda. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 2 Yangon-Bago-Kyaikhtiyo

After breakfast drive to Kyaikhtiyo (appro: 4 hours). On the way visit Bago, an ancient capital of Mon Kingdom in 15th century. Visit Shwe-tha-lyaung reclining Buddha(55 meters long), Shwe maw daw Pagoda, 28 metre high huge Buddha image of Kyaikpun pagoda. Then drive to Kyaikhtiyo. Afternoon arrive the Kimpun base camp and take the open truck to go up the top. Kyaikhtiyo, mystical pagoda stands on a gold gilded boulder, precariously perched on the edge of the hill over 1100 km above sea –level. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 3 Kyaikhtiyo-Mawlamyine

After breakfast take the truck to base camp. From base camp drive to Mawlamyine(2.5 hours). Mawlamyine is the third largest city in Myanmar after Yangon and Mandalay situated 165 kilometers east of the nation’s capital across the Gulf of Mottama at the mouth of the Thanlwin river. It is the capital of Mon State with a population of almost 300,000 people. Formerly known as Moulmein, it was once a thriving teak port and the administrative capital of British Lower Burma. Afternoon arrive and check-in hotel. Evening visit Kyaikthanlan pagoda built in 875 AD and thought to be the site from where Rudyard Kipling wrote his famous poem, ‘The Road to Mandalay’. Mahamuni pagoda, U Zina pagoda and walking along the strand road. Overnight in Mawlamyine.

Day 4 Mawlamyine- Hpa an

In the morning after breakfast drive to the largest reclining Buddha image in the world, Win Sein Taw Ya, is situated about 20 km south of Mawlamyine. Then back to  Hpa-an, the capital city of Kayin State. On the way to Hpa-an visit Kha Yon cave and old wooden monestery known as U Hnar Out. Arrive Hpa-an and Lunch. Afternoon visit Kyaukkalat, Lumbini park with thousands of Buddha images under Mt.Zwekabin, the landmark of Kayin State. If time permits, enjoy sunset from Shwe Saryan pagoda just beside the river. Overnight in Hpa-an.

Day 5 Hpa An-Yangon

Morning drive to Thaton, on the way visit Kawkung cave,  Bayin Nyi cave and then drive to Thaton, former capital of the Mon Kingdom. Afternoon arrive back Yangon and check-in hotel. Evening relax and overnight in Yangon.

Day 6 Yangon-Bagan

In the morning transfer to Yangon airport to take the flight to Bagan(appro:1:15 hours). On arrival transfer to hotel and check-in. And then start Bagan sightseeing included Nyaung.U market, Shwezigon pagoda, Gubyaukkyi temple, Htilominlo temple, Ananda temple. Lunch. In the afternoon visit the famous lacquer ware workshop. Then visit Manuha temple, Nanpapaya, Gubyaukkyi temple. Enjoy sunset from the top of famous Shwe San Taw pagoda. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 7 Bagan

In the morning drive to typical village near Bagan to see life of local people. Then visit Lay Myet Hnar temple, Paya Thonesu pagodas. Lunch and relax in the afternoon and evening take a boat in Ayeyarwaddy river to enjoy sunset. Overnight in Bagan.

Day 8 Bagan-Mandalay-Amarapura-Sagaing-Mandalay

After breakfast drive to Nyaung U airport to take the flight to Mandalay (appr:25 minutes). On arrival drive to Amarapura and visit famous U Pein bridge, Mahagandaryon Monastery, famous silk weaving factory. Then drive to Sagaing (about 25minutes), one ancient capital site before Mandalay in 13th century. There are hundreds of meditation centers, monasteries and nunaries around Sagaing hill. In Sagaing visit Umin Thonese Pagodas, Ponnyashin Pagpda at the top of Sagaing Hill. We can visit also the silver smith workshop. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 09 Mandalay-Mingun-Mandalay

In the morning drive to jetty to take the boat trip to Mingun (appr:1 hour). On arrival Mingun, visit Mingun Pagoda, Mingun bell, the biggest ringing bell of the world, Myatheintan pagoda. Then take boat back to Mandalay. In the afternoon visit Mahamuni Buddha image, the most famous Buddha of Mandalay and people believe that Buddha image alive. Shwenandaw monastery, Kuthodaw pagoda, Atumashi monastery,Mandalay Hill. Overnight in Mandalay.

Day 10 Mandalay-Pyinoolwin-Mandalay

After breakfast drive to Pyinoolwin (appro:1 ½ hours), was a nice small town and popular hill station during colonial time. Over 1000 meters above sea-level, well-known for its colonial-style houses with large compound and pine trees, eucalyptus and silver-oak around in town. Visit Famous Botanical garden, Pwe Kauk waterfall, old Station, Pyinoolwin market. Afternoon drive back to Mandalay and overnight in Mandalay.

Day 11 Mandalay –Heho- Pindaya- Kalaw

After breakfast drive to airport to take flight to Heho (30 minutes). From airport drive to Pindaya (appro:1hours). The landscape to Pindaya is very nice. Beside of the road, there are different colours of plantations like the gallery of Shan Hills. In Pindaya, visit famous pindaya cave which is famous for its over 8000 old buddha images inside. After lunch continue to Kalaw (appro: 1 hour), a typical small town in southern part ot Shan State. Kalaw was a hill station during colonial time and still exits lots of colonial houses and buildings around the town. In the evening arrive and Overnignt in Kalaw.

Day 12 Kalaw-Inle

In the morning visit Kalaw Market where we can see the different kinds of local products from Shan Hill, Kalaw old Station, and then drive to Inle (2 hours). Visit in Inle lake including famous Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, floating gardens, Ywa Ma village where we can see some long necked tribe people from other region, Inn Paw Knone Village where can see the silk and cotton weaving. Famous Nga Phae Chaung monastery, one of the old monasteries around Inle Lake and now like museum of old Buddha alters. Overnight in Inle Lake.

Day 13 Inle Lake-Indein-Inle

In the morning take the boat to visit the market day village. In Inle lake region market day is every five day. Not everyday in one village. Market day is interesting, can see different varieties of real local products, alive fish, barber shops, black smith shop and etc….. Then go to Indein pagodas, thousands of ancient pagodas beside of the hill and those were lost in jungle for centuries. Evening leisure and overnight in inle lake.

Day 14 Inle – heho – Yangon

In the morning transfer to Heho airport to take the flight back to Yangon. On arrival, visit famous Bogyoke market, in the evening visit downtown area, Yangon jetty. Overnight in Yangon.

Day 15 Yangon/ departure

In the morning transfer to Yangon airport to take the departure flight.
